Can internet ‘groups’ help isolated minorities in this pretentious
society we live in? Can we connect here with others of our ‘tribe’ and
improve our lives? The possibility exists here for that to happen, but it
will take reaching out to people and gaining their trust. Those out there that get up and seek help for themselves might
come upon my site and put it to use. They will take from it what they
need and then probably move on. But the site will remain. If what I offer
is good, then a few out there will return and maybe even stick around
and add to my sites ‘content.’ Then perhaps, it will develop into a group
within a group, a haven and refuge for the wider world of our tribe.
Who am I? I am a woman who has enjoyed living alone for 40
years, who has met a great many of us ‘loners’ of all ages and walks of
life. For some it is a temporary situation, for others more permanent,
and some are even still married or they are someone trying to raise kids
on their own. Which ever, we are stereotyped, pushed to the edge of the mainstream, and left to flounder about on our own. I’ve survived, and
found how to help myself.
Am I the stereotype frail, helpless loner our society wants us to be?
No, I’ am very opinionated, and eccentric. I am as independent in thought
and lifestyle as anyone else in our ever growing www society. Will this site
cater to the robot stereotype the world tries to force my tribe into?
No. I offer real advice for real people in a real world.I will - cautiously - link to other social groups on the web and to
‘good’ sites and ads, which offer real help for us. I am not interested in
growing a random stereotype ‘mob’ - available and ready for manipulation
by the world’s puppet masters to ‘cash in on’. I anticipate a slow uphillclimb and perpetual rocky road, the path of all true Havens and Refuges
of the world. Welcome home.
